Forever 21

Today I checked out the new Forever 21 store in The Bullring, Birmingham which is Forever 21's first UK store and is a huge bargain grotto spread over 3 floors, including a plus size section.
Below are a few items I found in store which I think are amazing but some advice, if you consider purchasing from them I would definitely visit the store first if possible because after exploring the website, I've realised the items are very well photographed and are definitely worth a proper look out so that your satisfied.
Other than that, the prices are excellent and most of it is up to date with todays look.

                    Chiffon Ruffle Skirt - £15.80

                             Plush Belted Coat - £36.80
                       (much better in real life!)

                          Striped Contrast Dress - £25.80

Check out the link below to the Look magazine website, where you can find a 3 minute video displaying a preview of whats to come at H&M for S/S 2011 to be released in January.

H&M have described their S/S collection as:

Long and loose or short and sharp

Misty make-up tones, navy, white, beige, yellow and pink

Flowers, animal prints, graphic prints

Stonewashed cotton and Tencel, suede, linen mix, fine jersey, chiffon and voile, organic and recycled materials

Trousers in different shapes and styles, maxi dress, jersey top, blazer jacket

Natural leather bag, belt, sandals and clogs

I'd write your post Christmas wishlist now, start the New Year with a new wardrobe?

As you probably know, another amazing designer collaboration with H&M has arrived and we couldn't be more excited because its Lanvin!
The high fashion brand Lanvin was created by Jeanne Lanvin and probably best know for beautiful dresses that often resemble natural forms and created using an adventurous and luxurious colour palette.
The collection will undoubtably sell out with items such as:

Items range in price from £7.99 - £199.99 but its definitely worth splashing out, maybe as a Christmas present to yourself or as your NYE outfit because this collaboration is not worth missing.
Check out your local H&M store to see if they are stocking Lanvin for H&M.

You can see all Lanvin for H&M items on the stocklist on the link:

S/S 2011 The White Shirt

Twenty8Twelve                                          DKNY

Moschino                                                  DKNY

No longer part of a uniform, the white shirt is now a neccessary piece of clothing!
They are a chic and bring power dressing back down to a more casual appearance. Flattering on all, blouses are usually teamed with trousers or jeans as seen at Moschino but are also great with skirts (DKNY) and my favourite look, with shorts (Twenty8Twelve).
Oversized and pussybow blouses also work well to create a vintage/indie feel when with peg leg trousers.

   Satin Pussybow Blouse, New Look

A lovely pussybow blouse with a luxurious satin look. Team this with high-waisted flare jeans and a brown belt.

Sleeveless Silk Shirt, Topshop

Favourite! A lovely sleeveless shirt which again has a silk look and the fact its sleeveless differentiates it from the usual white shirt. This is the ideal shirt to use to replicate the Twenty8Twelve look using Topshop's Premium Sand Suede Pleat Shorts, £66.

Cream Placket Bow Blouse, River Island

S/S 2011 Pleats

Derek Lam                                                      Lanvin

Its forecasted that a key trend from the S/S 2011 shows is pleats. Pleats are usually associated with school skirts, or at least when I was younger but that is no more, pleating is a simple technique which can emphasise the fabrics and provide detail to an otherwise boring dress. A trend which will easily be adapted to the high street and one which I happen to love. My favourite pieces from Lanvin and Derek Lam are shown above and there are already similar items available. Topshop, ahead of the game as usual, are already selling pleated items and great ones at that!

Double Pleat Dress by Rare** at Topshop.
                                                     £39 Sizes 6-14
This dress is an excellent example of how pleats can work to create an interesting detail to an item. I love this, its colour is beautiful and it would look great kept simple and teamed with black tights and black heels and a edgey, bikerish clutch or bag.

Topshop pleated calf length skirt (navy)
                                                   £38 Sizes 6-16
Again another great item especially as hem lines are lowered at the moment. Its available in navy and burgundy and I think you can really play with what you team it with. I'd wear this with moccasins, a belt and baggy blouse.
